For the SciVite project promoting the Life Science building at WSU, our goal was to attract more students to join the program. As a multimedia designer, I contributed to building the brand identity. While all team members created logo concepts, and mine made it through the initial rounds, it wasn’t chosen as the final logo. However, my design skills were still used in another important aspect of the project: the brand book, also known as the legacy book. I was responsible for ensuring all the essential information needed to define and maintain the brand was clearly presented, while also designing the visual layout and elements of the book. The content and design evolved continuously, requiring frequent updates and refinements all the way to the final version. I worked in Figma throughout the process, learning new tools and techniques as I went. A big part of my role was maintaining visual consistency across the brand book, slide deck, timeline, and website. I collaborated closely with all the teams to ensure we were aligned on brand elements. When inconsistencies came up, we discussed them as a group and made sure any final decisions were approved by the team leads and project supervisors.
